Want to get involved?

Click here if you are interested in joining a Homecoming Parade Committee.

Click here to Register your walking/non-decorated vehicle, decorated vehicle, or float by October 14th, 2010.

It is easier than you think!

Your organization/department can easily participate by registering a parade entry in one of the following categories:

1. Walking/Non-Vehicle
2. Decorated Vehicle
3. Float

A first place cash prize will be awarded in each of the three categories.

Participating in the parade will:
-  provide a bonding experience for members/staff
-  advertise your organization/department
-  showcase your Illinois spirit!

Be creative to develop your own theme for your parade entry!

Things to think about when selecting your theme:
-  100th Illinois Homecoming
-  Football Game: Illinois vs. Indiana University
-  Indiana University Mascot: Hoosiers
-  Orange and Blue
-  Reference your organization/department activities or purpose
-  Illinois Spirit

Examples:
-  Department of Atmospheric Sciences: "Forecast says: Illinois Win!"

- Any department: "100 Years of Illini Pride"

If interested in building a float, download our Float Builder's Manual for tips and suggestions!
